I installed CHDK in my Canon SX240. It lets me access RAW files from the camera. RAW files give me a lot more data to work with in PhotoShop and better image quality.

Tram tracks outside an old tram depot. This is also a place I have visited several times and taken countless pictures of.
Who says you cannot create a nice and smooth background blur with a point and shoot camera?
A fine art photograph is meant to be printed. I have not tried to print any of my images and I am not sure how a file from my point and shoot camera would hold up printed large. I guess a print test is one thing I have to place at the top of my ToDo list.
I try to keep my images simple. Sometimes I succeed.
For some reason, most Fine Art Photos are presented in B&W. I always shoot in colour, but sometimes I convert images to B&W when I edit them. I usually prefer the colour versions, but sometimes an image works well in B&W. B&W isn’t just the absence of colour though and getting the right “tones” can be harder than editing a colour photo.
This is one of my favourite motifs. Luckily, it is just next to where I live. There are some places I love to re-visit and re-shoot. Different season, different light, different weather, different viewpoint, different focal length, different aperture etc. Every time I see something new.
Sometimes, less is more
