For some reason, most Fine Art Photos are presented in B&W. I always shoot in colour, but sometimes I convert images to B&W when I edit them. I usually prefer the colour versions, but sometimes an image works well in B&W. B&W isn’t just the absence of colour though and getting the right “tones” can be harder than editing a colour photo.
Who decides what is art anyway? The artist? The art critic? The spectator?
This is a shot of a car park exit. I take pictures every time I’m there. I haven’t got a good one yet, but I think I’m getting closer.
Probably not, but what is Fine Art Photography? My smart-ass definition is:
“A Fine Art photo is one that is taken with the intention to sell it to someone who will frame it and hang it on his wall”.
